Tropical Storm Erika leaves death and destruction

Tropical storm Erika has caused severe devastation on Wednesday, August 27, 2015 on the Caribbean island Commonwealth of Dominica, West Indies. Dominica, situated between the French islands Martinique and Guadeloupe, is not to be mistaken with the Dominican Republic.

35 have been confirmed dead, and many more citizens are missing. The infrastructure has been destroyed, the roads are 90% damaged, and the channels of communication such as telephone, mobile phones and Internet to 80%. Almost all bridges are either destroyed or severely damaged.
